Willys-Overland was a USA manufacturer from 1912 until 1953 (Willys-Overland was formerly Overland, which John North Willys bought in 1908, see separate post). Willys is a trademark of Willys-Overland. The Willys vehicles which used a Knight sleeve-valve engine were called Willys-Knight and the marque Falcon-Knight (see separate post) were also produced by Willys-Overland.
Note: Some Willys vehicles were made in Australia in the 1930's.
In 1950, Willys-Overland registered Jeep as a trademark. Willys military/Jeep vehicles were produced from 1952 until 1971.
