AEC

The Associated Equipment Company (AEC) built buses, motorcoaches and trucks in Britain from 1912 until 1979.

AEC also built the "Government Roadtrain", a form of road transport used in the harsh Australian "outback"  in the 1930's, that was 8x8 wheel drive, six cylinder, 130 HP, 8.8 litre diesel engine which towed two trailers. The "Government Roadtrain" has been restored and is in the (Australian) National Road Transport Hall of Fame, at the town of Alice Springs.
