Auto Emblems in Australia - The Ivan Hoffmann Collection

This web-site presents emblems (also referred to as badges, mascots, scripts, logos etc.) displayed on automobiles since the introduction of the horseless carriage and have been collected by Ivan Hoffmann. The Collection is mostly "uncommon" early emblems of marques and contains about 300 makes of automobiles. In July 2024 this Collection was donated by Ivan Hoffmann to the National Motor Muesum, Birdwood, South Australia.

Hupmobile is an American (USA) car from 1908 until 1941. Models included A-O (inclusive), KK, R-U (inclusive), W, 20 & 32.

This emblem shows (from top to bottom) fasces (bound bundle of rods with an axe head - symbolising power/authority); shield (conquest); H (Hupmobile); three castles (sign of stability, durability and permanence).
