Ford Prefect is British, generally red Ford badges were British.  British Ford emblems usually had "Made by J.Fray Ltd, Bhman" on the reverse, as the emblems were made by J Fray Ltd in Birmingham, England for the British Ford vehicles.

The Ford Zephyr was made in England and assembled in countries including Australia. The reverse side of these Ford Zephyr boot badges show differences - the top right has "MADE IN ENGLAND" embossed on it;  the bottom left badge has its pongs in a different position and the bottom right didn't have enamel.
