Country of Origin: This can be contentious it must have some element of design (or re-design); unique feature; manufacture; raw material, assembly, that is wholly of largely attributable to that country. Some countries exported versions referred to as "CKD"  ("completely knocked down" i.e. segmented components required to be assembled).  Our bias attributes many to Australia!

Dates: These may refer to the make was founded or; when the first automobile was manufactured; final assembly; first registration; change of maker’s name etc., so may differ between information sources.

Makes: Names changed by organisation restructure; ownership; parent company; divisions; subsidiaries; mergers; demergers; collaborations between makes (e.g. Willys; Overland; Willys Overland; Willys Knight etc); kit maker; etc.  We usually use the most common abbreviation of the marque (make). Make is different to owner, e.g. Stellantis is the owner of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroen, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel, Peugeoy, Ram, Vauxhall, Free2move, Leasys.

Models: Some models sold in different countries under a different name. Some model names were used in different eras or by different makers.
