Auto Emblems in Australia - The Ivan Hoffmann Collection

This web-site presents emblems (also referred to as badges, mascots, scripts, logos etc.) displayed on automobiles since the introduction of the horseless carriage and have been collected by Ivan Hoffmann. The Collection is mostly "uncommon" early emblems of marques and contains about 300 makes of automobiles. In July 2024 this Collection was donated by Ivan Hoffmann to the National Motor Muesum, Birdwood, South Australia.

SsangYong

SSangYong is South Korean that was established in 1954, with the name meaning "twin dragons", that refers to a legend about two dragons on a journey to heaven. The the two S's in the name refers to the two dragons. The name was changed to SsangYoung Motor in 1988.
