Hillman

Hillman or Hillman (Rootes Group) were produced in Britain from 1907 until 1976 having evolved from a bicycle production  background. Some were re-badged as Singer, Humber and Commer (see separate posts). Hillman were also made in Australia from 1966 until1972.

The Hillman emblem features three spires, as they were made in Coventry "The City of Three Spires" - the spires of St Michael's Cathedral, Grey Friars' Church and Holy Trinity Church. The first winged emblem is from about 1928.
