Auto Emblems in Australia - The Ivan Hoffmann Collection

This web-site presents emblems (also referred to as badges, mascots, scripts, logos etc.) displayed on automobiles since the introduction of the horseless carriage and have been collected by Ivan Hoffmann. The Collection is mostly "uncommon" early emblems of marques and contains about 300 makes of automobiles. In July 2024 this Collection was donated by Ivan Hoffmann to the National Motor Muesum, Birdwood, South Australia.

Electricar

Electricar were made in Birmingham, UK from 1920 until 1936.

Other Electricar makers were in France from 1920 until 1924; USA from 1950 until 1966 and a British Morrison-Electricar from 1933 until 1983. These Electricars were in the class of Battery-electric Road Vehicles (BERV) and used for purposes such as milk delivery to households.
