Alfa Romeo is Italian, producing luxury cars and racing cars since 1920.
Alfa Romeo emblem shows the two symbols form the arms of the City of Milan (cross and a serpent with a human figure).

The laurel wreath around the outer was added after the win in the 1925 World Championship race in the P2. The left earlier badge has "Savoy" knots adjoining the lettering indicating a monarchy and the right badge has "waves" adjoining the lettering indicating the later republic. The serpent has a "twist" in its neck until 1935 and the "twist" returned in the 1960's for a short time. From 1960 the emblems were made of plastic.

The Alfa Romeo green "Quadrifoglio" (four leaf clover) was first used on the car that won the Targa Florio in 1923 and since used on performance cars. The gold "Quadrifoglio" was used on luxury cars.
