Auto Emblems in Australia - The Ivan Hoffmann Collection

This web-site presents emblems (also referred to as badges, mascots, scripts, logos etc.) displayed on automobiles since the introduction of the horseless carriage and have been collected by Ivan Hoffmann. The Collection is mostly "uncommon" early emblems of marques and contains about 300 makes of automobiles. In July 2024 this Collection was donated by Ivan Hoffmann to the National Motor Muesum, Birdwood, South Australia.

Austin

Some Austin's were made in Australia, rather than the United Kingdom (see separate post).

The Austin Lancer was made in Australia from 1958 until 1962 by BMC Australia.

This round Austin Freeway badge was on the dash, instead of a clock, as on the Wolseley 24/80.

The Austin Freeway was a 6 cylinder version of the British Austin A/60.
