Auto Emblems in Australia - The Ivan Hoffmann Collection

This web-site presents emblems (also referred to as badges, mascots, scripts, logos etc.) displayed on automobiles since the introduction of the horseless carriage and have been collected by Ivan Hoffmann. The Collection is mostly "uncommon" early emblems of marques and contains about 300 makes of automobiles. In July 2024 this Collection was donated by Ivan Hoffmann to the National Motor Muesum, Birdwood, South Australia.

Lincoln

Lincoln (or Lincoln Six) is an Australian car (1919-1926), of which about 200 cars were built. Charles Innes was the designer. The radiator was built by Muller.

This Lincoln badge and radiator surround are no longer in the Ivan Hoffmann Collection. The top of the radiator surround is angular like on the Australian Six automobile, however the position of the crank-hole at the bottom of the surround is different to the Australian Six.
