Bianchi was a French manufacturer from 1899 until 1939 and since 1957 and this badge has great detail in it. Ivan Hoffmann advertised in the newspaper that he wanted to buy car badges - he got one reply, from a painter who said this one had "fallen off" the company's ute (questioned the painter stuck to that story, hopefully that was true and was not "acquired" by an act of vandalism or theft - illegal activities are NOT endorsed!).
The emblem features the cross of Savoy, of the kingdom of Milan (were the car was built) and the heraldic eagle of the noble Visconti family. Rectangular emblems were also made in two designs, also featuring the eagle and cross.
